Bethany’s teaching focuses on mindfulness, building core strength and creating the relaxation response in the body. Aside from teaching yoga, Bethany has spent several years working full time in the corporate office environment. She understands first hand the benefits of yoga to counter the effects office stress can take on the body. Bethany has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2006. She received her teaching certificate in Hatha yoga from Core Yoga in Cambridge, MA. She has also trained with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute and is currently enrolled in Elemental Yoga’s mind-body training in Integrative Yoga Therapeutics.
Elizabeth has completed over 400 hours of teacher trainings and workshops since 2002 with John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga. She spent last year teaching yoga in Vietnam and Myanmar, and is now teaching Anusara Inspired yoga full time in Boston Area studios, at Harvard Business School, and at the Radcliffe Institute. In 2001, she completed a 200-hour training with Sarah Powers, Tias Little, and Paul Grilley in the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Yin traditions. Her classes are uplifting, dynamic, and fun.
Hope began practicing Yoga in 1988. She received her Yoga Teacher's Certification in 1992 at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Kerala, India. Since, she has taught in India, Sri Lanka, and the United States, at studios, health clubs, corporations, recovery houses, and meditation centers. In addition to her Sivananda training, Hope has taken two more teacher courses: a YogaSpirit 200-hour course (Iyengar-based) and a Baptiste In-House Teacher training. She continues to deepen her practice, most recently studying Anusara and Jivamukti Yoga. Her classes are tailored to students' needs, and range from lively Flow Yoga to deeply relaxing restorative sessions. Hope has also practiced Buddhist meditation since 1994, and incorporates elements of meditation into her classes.
